But the people of Sodom were evil—very great sinners against Adonai.

If the righteous is rewarded on earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner!

See, I am beginning to bring evil on the city where My name is called, and should you go completely unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am summoning a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth.” It is a declaration of Adonai-Tzva’ot.

But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity and does according to all the detestable acts that the wicked man does, will he live? But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Messiah died for us.

Therefore let the one who thinks that he stands watch out that he doesn’t fall.

knowing that the Torah is not given for a tzaddik but for the lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinful, for the unholy and worldly, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,

Let us fear then! Though a promise of entering His rest is left open, some of you would seem to have fallen short.

You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous person—he does not resist you.

Stay alert! Watch out! Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, searching for someone to devour.

But by the same word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire—kept until the Day of Judgment and the destruction of ungodly people.

Then Adonai sent you on a mission and said: ‘Go and utterly destroy the Amalekites, the sinners, and wage war against them until you annihilate them.’
