Then they struck the men at the doorway of the house with blindness—from youth to elderly—so that they gave up trying to find the doorway.

So this is what you should do: remove the kings, each from his post, and appoint governors in their place.

So when the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “He must be the king of Israel!” and they turned aside to do combat with him, but Jehoshaphat cried out.

Now the king of Aram had already ordered his chariot commanders saying: “Don’t attack anyone, small or great, except the king of Israel alone.”

Both great and small will die in this land; they will not be buried; neither will anyone lament for them, or cut themselves or shave his head for them.

taking the women in it captive, young and old, without killing anyone, but carried them off as they went their way.
