Then the two worthless men came in and sat before him, and the worthless men testified against him, against Naboth, before the people saying, “Naboth cursed God and the king!” Then they carried him out of the city and stoned him to death.

Then they sent word to Jezebel saying, “Naboth has been stoned and is dead.”

Now Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him. But now, stretch out Your hand and strike everything he has, and he will certainly curse You to Your face!”

When the round of banquet days was completed, Job would send for them and consecrate them. He would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings, according to the number of them all. For Job said, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did everyday.

Like a club, a sword, or a sharp arrow is one who bears false witness against his neighbor.

They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they were murdered with the sword. They went around in sheepskins and goatskins; they were destitute, afflicted, mistreated.
