The span of our years is seventy —or with strength, eighty— yet at best they are trouble and sorrow. For they are soon gone, and we fly away.

When David was old and full of days, he made his son Solomon king over Israel.

So Bath-sheba went to the king into the chamber. Now the king was very old, with Abishag the Shunammite serving the king.

Furthermore, if two lie together, then they will be warm. But how can one keep warm alone?

Now Joshua was old and advanced in years when Adonai said to him, “You are old and getting on in years, yet very much of the land is still left to possess.
