“What is man, that he could be pure, or one born of woman, that he could be righteous?

How then can a man be righteous with God? How can one born of a woman be pure?

I will maintain my righteousness, and not let it go; my conscience will not reproach me for any of my days.

“Indeed, I am unworthy— what can I reply to You? I put my hand over my mouth.

Even if I were innocent, my mouth would condemn me. If I were guiltless, it will declare me perverse.

If You, Adonai, kept a record of iniquities— my Lord, who could stand?

Do not bring Your servant into judgment, for in Your eyes no one living is righteous.

Moreover by them Your servant is warned. In keeping them there is great reward.

My feet stand on level ground. In congregations I will bless Adonai.

All a man’s ways seem right in his own eyes, but Adonai weighs the heart.

Many seek an audience with a ruler, but from Adonai one receives justice.

He said to him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him for a third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know everything! You know that I love You!” Yeshua said to him, “Feed My sheep!”

Paul, looking intently at the Sanhedrin, said, “Brothers, I have lived my life in all good conscience for God up to this day.”

For it is not the hearers of Torah who are righteous before God; rather, it is the doers of Torah who will be justified.

For if Abraham was set right by works, he has something to boast about—but not before God.

But to me it matters very little to be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.

Therefore do not judge anything before the time—wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light the things hidden in darkness and also make clear the motives of the hearts. Then the praise for each one will come from God.

For our reason for boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world, and most especially toward you, with simplicity and godly sincerity—not by human wisdom but by the grace of God.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, so that each one may receive what is due for the things he did while in the body—whether good or bad.
