I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, for they made up for your absence.
(I also immersed the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t recall if I immersed anyone else.)
When I was present with you and I was in need, I did not burden anyone; for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my need. In everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and I will continue to do so.
But God, who encourages the downcast, encouraged us with the arrival of Titus;
because he came close to death for the work of Messiah, risking his life to make up for what was lacking in your service to me.
I really wanted to keep him with me, so that on your behalf he might serve me while I am in chains for the Good News.
