but the fields of the city and the villages, they gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh.

to them they assigned Hebron in the land of Judah, and the open land around it;

To sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge: Hebron, also Libnah with its open land, Jattir, Eshtemoa with its open land,

Therefore Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he followed Adonai the God of Israel fully.
