But they paid no attention and went away, one to his own field and another to his business.

Then he said to those who were selling doves, “Take these things away from here; do not make my Father's house a house of trade.”

In their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their condemnation from of old is not idle, and their destruction will not slumber.

The light of a lamp will never shine in yoʋ again. The voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in yoʋ again. For yoʋr merchants were the magnates of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by yoʋr sorcery.

For all the nations have fallen because of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. The kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich from the power of her luxury.”

The kings of the earth who have committed fornication with her and lived in luxury with her will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning.
