Therefore, since we have such a hope, we act with great boldness.

Great is my boldness toward you; great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort; I am overflowing with joy in all our affliction.

Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, which will bring you glory.

My eager expectation and hope is that I will not be put to shame in anything, but will speak with complete boldness so that now, as always, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether I live or die.

It is right for me to think this way about you all, since I have you in my heart. For you all share with me in God's grace, both in my imprisonment and in my defense and confirmation of the gospel.

Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved friends.

Pray that I may make it known in the way that I ought to speak.

Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is our beloved brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord.

On the contrary, even though we had previously suffered and been mistreated in Philippi, as you know, we had boldness in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in the face of strong opposition.

For this gospel I suffer to the point of being chained like a criminal, but the word of God is not chained.
