And behold, the whole city went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they begged him to depart from their region.
And behold, they cried out, “What do yoʋ have to do with us, Jesus, Son of God? Have yoʋ come here to torment us before the time?”
When Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus' knees and said, “Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.”
When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, “What do yoʋ have to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg yoʋ, do not torment me.”
So they came and spoke to them in a conciliatory manner. As they escorted them out, they begged them to leave the city.
