“No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the garment's new patch pulls away from the old cloth, and a worse tear is made.

No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch pulls away from the garment, and a worse tear is made.

But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine bursts the wineskins, and the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are destroyed. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”

He also told them a parable: “No one puts a patch from a new garment on an old garment. Otherwise, he not only tears the new garment, but the patch from the new garment does not match the old garment.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man. God is faithful; he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation he will also provide the way out so that you can endure it.
