So Jesus' brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea so that yoʋr disciples may see the works yoʋ are doing.
While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him.
When his family heard about it, they went out to restrain him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”
Then Jesus' brothers and mother came, and standing outside, they sent word to him and called for him.
Then Jesus' mother and brothers came to him, but they were not able to reach him because of the crowd.
So some people told him, “Yoʋr mother and yoʋr brothers are standing outside, wishing to see yoʋ.”
Jesus was also invited to the wedding, and so were his disciples.
After hearing this, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard saying; who can accept it?”
At that point many of his disciples went back and no longer walked with him.
However, after his brothers had gone up to the feast, Jesus also went up, not openly but in secret.
For no one does anything in secret while seeking to be known publicly. If yoʋ are going to do these things, show yoʋrself to the world.”
(For not even his brothers believed in him.)
Then Peter stood up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and declared to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.
