Now these are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

Simon the Cananite, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to deliver Jesus up to them.

Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, who was about to betray him, said,

By the time supper ended, the devil had put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Jesus.

Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I give this morsel after I have dipped it.” Then he dipped the morsel and gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

Jesus was also invited to the wedding, and so were his disciples.

Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.

But there are some among you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning which of them did not believe and who it was that would betray him.)

Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve? And yet one of you is a devil.”

this man, who was delivered up by the deliberate plan and foreknowledge of God, you took and put to death, having him nailed to the cross by the hands of lawless men.

For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have crept in unnoticed. They are ungodly men who pervert the grace of our God, turning it into a license for sensuality. By doing so, they deny God, who is our only Master, and also the Lord Jesus Christ.
