Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” After he said this, he again went out to the Jews and said to them, “I find no fault in him.

When Pilate saw that he was achieving nothing and that a riot was breaking out, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man. See to it yourselves.”

Pilate said to them, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out all the more, “Crucify him!”

Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no fault in this man.”

Then Pilate went into his headquarters again, called Jesus over, and said to him, “Are yoʋ the king of the Jews?”

Once again Pilate came out and said to the Jews, “Behold, I am bringing him out to you so that you may know that I find no fault in him.”

When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, “Crucify, crucify him!” But Pilate said to them, “You take him and crucify him, for I find no fault in him.”

Now when they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some began to scoff, but others said, “We wish to hear about this from yoʋ again.”

but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot.
