This can be explained allegorically, for these women are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery; this is Hagar.
This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables; I will declare things hidden from the foundation of the world.”
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but a spirit of adoption as sons, by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written down for our instruction, upon whom the end of the ages has come.

For Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem; she is in slavery with her children.
In the same way also, when we were children, we were enslaved to the elements of the world.
Stand fast therefore in the freedom for which Christ has set us free, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
He reasoned that God could even raise him from the dead. And figuratively speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death.
And you have come to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
Now may the God of peace, who by the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep,
Accordingly, Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant.
