Galatians 3:19

The Text-Critical English New Testament

Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the descendant should come to whom the promise had been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. Scripture does not say, “And to his descendants,” referring to many, but referring to one man it says, “And to yoʋr descendant,” who is Christ.

For if the message spoken through angels was valid and every transgression and disobedience received a just retribution,

For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.
