After some days had gone by, Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit our brothers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing.”

I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you looked after me; I was in prison, and you came to visit me.’

For I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, that you may be established,

Apart from these external things, there is my daily burden: my concern for all the churches.

Only live as citizens in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear that you are standing firm in one spirit, striving together with one mind for the faith of the gospel,

But Timothy has now come back to us from you and has brought us good news of your faith and love. He reports that you always have good memories of us, longing to see us, just as we also long to see you.

Recalling yoʋr tears, I long to see yoʋ so that I may be filled with joy.
