For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Otherwise, if yoʋ bless with yoʋr spirit, how will anyone in the position of an outsider say “Amen” when yoʋ give thanks, since he does not know what yoʋ are saying?

All of this is for your benefit, so that grace, as it extends to more and more people, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

For God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But the Scripture has confined all under sin, so that the promise might be given on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ to those who believe.

to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he bestowed favor upon us in the Beloved.

so that in the ages to come he might show the surpassing riches of his grace through his kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

These all died in faith without receiving the things that were promised. But they saw them from a distance and welcomed them. And they acknowledged that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

But Melchizedek, who was not among the descendants of Levi, received a tithe from Abraham. He also blessed Abraham, who had received the promises.

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in regard to the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to catch a glimpse of these things.

And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the origin of God's creation:

saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor, power and strength be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
