Whoever receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward; whoever receives a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward.

Behold, I have told you in advance.

The Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time?

He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

People ought to regard us as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

What then is my reward? That when I preach, I may present the gospel of Christ free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

For if the eager willingness is there, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been entrusted with the gospel to the circumcised.

I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,

but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, who examines our hearts.

But I did not want to do anything without yoʋr consent, so that yoʋr good deed might not be done out of compulsion, but of yoʋr own free will.
