“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be mastered by anything.

If others have a share in this right over you, do not we have it even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure everything so that we may not give any hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?

We are putting no obstacle in anyone's way, so that our ministry may not be discredited.
