O my Elohim, my being is depressed within me; Therefore I remember You from the land of the Yardĕn, And from the heights of Ḥermon, From Mount Mits‛ar.

And Dawiḏ and all the people who were with him rose up and passed over the Yardĕn. And by morning light not even one remained who had not gone over the Yardĕn.

And it came to be, when Dawiḏ had come to Maḥanayim, that Shoḇi son of Naḥash from Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Maḵir son of Ammi’ĕl from Lo Ḏeḇar, and Barzillai the Gil‛aḏite from Roḡelim,

Like the dew of Ḥermon, That comes down on the mountains of Tsiyon. For there יהוה commanded the blessing, Life forever!

My Ěl, My Ěl, why have You forsaken Me – Far from saving Me, far from the words of My groaning?

That I might come to the slaughter-place of Elohim, To Ěl, the joy of my delight, And praise You with the lyre, O Elohim, my Elohim.

Why are you depressed, O my being? And why are you restless within me? Wait for Elohim: for I shall yet thank Him, the deliverance of my face, And my Elohim.

From the end of the earth I call unto You, When my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

“When my life fainted within me, I remembered יהוה. And my prayer went up to You, into Your set-apart Hĕḵal.

And going forward a little, He fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I desire, but as You desire.”

And about the ninth hour יהושע cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Ěli, Ěli, lemah sheḇaqtani?” that is, “My Ěl, My Ěl, why have You forsaken Me?”
