Then I called upon the Name of יהוה, “O יהוה, I pray to You, deliver my being!”
I called on Yah in distress; Yah answered me in a broad place.
In my distress I called upon יהוה, And to my Elohim I cried; He heard my voice from His Hĕḵal, And my cry went before Him, into His ears.
Deliver My life from the sword, My only life from the power of the dog.
Tsadi The distresses of my heart have enlarged; Oh, bring me out of my distresses!
Zayin This poor one cried out and יהוה heard him, And saved him out of all his distresses.
And call upon Me in the day of distress – Let Me rescue you, and you esteem Me.
Return, O יהוה, rescue my life! Oh, save me for Your loving-commitment’ sake!
For in death there is no remembrance of You; Who gives You thanks in She’ol?
