And Yitsḥaq dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Aḇraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Aḇraham. And he called them by the names which his father had called them.
For the fields of Ḥeshbon languish – the vine of Siḇmah. The masters of the nations have broken down its choice plants, which have reached to Ya‛zĕr and wandered through the wilderness. Her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
Concerning Mo’aḇ. This is what יהוה of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl said, “Woe to Neḇo! For it is ravaged, Qiryathayim is put to shame, captured. The high stronghold is put to shame and broken down.
therefore, see, I am opening the flank of Mo’aḇ on the side of the cities, on the side of his cities on its frontiers, the splendour of the land, Bĕyth Yeshimoth, Ba‛al Me‛on, and Qiryathayim,
And it came to be in the morning, that Balaq took Bil‛am and brought him up to the high places of Ba‛al, and from there he saw the extremity of the camp.
so as not to go in among these nations, these who remain among you. And make no mention of the name of their mighty ones, nor swear by them, nor serve them nor bow down to them.
