Now the Pĕsaḥ and the Festival of Matzot was after two days. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to take Him through treachery and put Him to death.
“Thus, when you do a kind deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do, in the congregations and in the streets, to be praised by men. Truly, I say to you, they have their reward.
And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they were slaughtering the Pĕsah lamb, His taught ones said to Him, “Where do You wish us to go and prepare, for You to eat the Pĕsaḥ?”
And before the Festival of the Pĕsaḥ, יהושע knowing that His hour had come that He should move out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
So when he had seized him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to watch over him, intending to bring him before the people after Pĕsaḥ.
