Then Shim‛on Kĕpha, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. And the servant’s name was Meleḵ.

And יהושע said to him, “Truly, I say to you that today, this night, before the cock shall crow twice, you shall deny Me three times.”

And one of those standing by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

And he said to Him, “Master, I am prepared to go with You, both to prison and to death.”

One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the one whose ear Kĕpha cut off, said, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?”
