The taught ones looked at one another, doubting of whom He spoke.
And when Ya‛aqoḇ saw that there was grain in Mitsrayim, Ya‛aqoḇ said to his sons, “Why do you look at each other?”
And while they were eating, He said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you shall deliver Me up.”
And they were deeply grieved, and began to say to Him, each of them, “Master, is it I?”
And as they sat and ate, יהושע said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you who is eating with Me shall deliver Me up.”
And they began to be grieved, and to say to Him one by one, “Is it I?” And another, “Is it I?”
“But see, the hand of him delivering Me up is with Me on the table.
And they began to ask among themselves, which of them it could be who was about to do this.
“I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen, but that the Scripture might be filled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.’
When יהושע had said this He was troubled in spirit, and witnessed and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you shall deliver Me up.”
