And Raḥĕl said, “Elohim has rightly ruled my case, and has also heard my voice and given me a son.” So she called his name Dan.
O יהוה, You have seen my oppression; Judge my case.
Rule me rightly, O Elohim, And plead my cause against a nation without loving-commitment. Oh, deliver me from a man of deceit and unrighteousness!
Rule me rightly, O יהוה my Elohim, According to Your righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.
“So I shall scatter them like stubble that passes away by the wind of the wilderness.
So I bought a girdle according to the word of יהוה, and put it on my loins.
And of Dan he said, “Dan is a lion’s cub, that leaps from Bashan.”
And the son of Dan: Ḥushim.
the sons of Bilhah, Raḥĕl’s female servant, were Dan and Naphtali;
And Bilhah conceived and bore Ya‛aqoḇ a son.
And Raḥĕl’s female servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Ya‛aqoḇ a second son.
From the children of Dan, their genealogies by their clans, by their fathers’ house, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, everyone going out to the army,
“And these are to stand on Mount Ěyḇal to curse: Re’uḇĕn, Gaḏ, and Ashĕr, and Zeḇulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
