And news came to Yo’aḇ, for Yo’aḇ had turned aside after Aḏoniyah, though he did not turn aside after Aḇshalom. And Yo’aḇ fled to the Tent of יהוה, and took hold of the horns of the slaughter-place.
“And you shall make a slaughter-place of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide – the slaughter-place is square – and its height three cubits.
Then the crowd of all the nations who fight against Ari’ĕl, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.
And you shall take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the slaughter-place, on the four corners of the ledge, and on the rim around it, and shall cleanse it and make atonement for it.
And the sons of Aharon brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it on the horns of the slaughter-place, and poured the blood at the base of the slaughter-place.
