“Son of man, set your face toward Yerushalayim, and drop word against the set-apart places, and prophesy against the land of Yisra’ĕl.

After my words they did not speak again, and my speech settled on them.

“By the hand of your servants you have reproached יהוה, and said, ‘With my many chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the limits of Leḇanon. And I cut down its tall cedars and its choice cypress trees. And I enter its farthest height, its thickest forest.

“Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man!”

“Son of man, set your face toward the south, and drop word against the south and prophesy against the forest land, the South.

And the word of יהוה came to me, saying,

Therefore thus said the Master יהוה, “Woe to the city of blood! Let Me also make the pile great.

“Son of man, set your face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them.

“Son of man, set your face toward Tsiḏon, and prophesy against her,

“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh the sovereign of Mitsrayim, and prophesy against him, and against Mitsrayim, all of it.

“And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Yisra’ĕl, and you shall say, ‘O mountains of Yisra’ĕl, hear the word of יהוה!

“Son of man, set your face against Goḡ, of the land of Maḡoḡ, the prince of Rosh, Mesheḵ, and Tuḇal, and prophesy against him.

“Then take an iron plate, and set it as an iron wall between you and the city. And you shall set your face against it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. It is a sign to the house of Yisra’ĕl.

“Then you shall set your face toward the siege of Yerushalayim, with your arm bared, and you shall prophesy against it.

“Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Yisra’ĕl, and prophesy against them.

“And now, hear the word of יהוה. You are saying, ‘Do not prophesy against Yisra’ĕl, and do not drop words against the house of Yitsḥaq.’

“If a man walking after wind and falsehood has lied: ‘I preach to you of wine and of strong drink,’ he shall be the ‘preacher’ of this people!

“You do not preach, they preach. They do not preach to these, reproaches are not turned back.

also for me, that a word might be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to be bold in making known the secret of the Good News,

“Let my instruction fall as rain, My speech drop down as dew, As fine rain on the tender plants, And as showers on the grass.
