“If the ox gores a male or female servant, he is to give to their master thirty sheqels of silver, and the ox is stoned.
And men, Miḏyanite traders passed by, so they pulled Yosĕph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Yishma‛ĕlites for twenty pieces of silver. And they took Yosĕph to Mitsrayim.
“Whether it has gored a son or gored a daughter, according to this right-ruling it is done to him.
“And when a man opens a pit, or if a man digs a pit and does not cover it, and an ox or a donkey falls in it,
“And I bought the field which was at Anathoth from Ḥaname’ĕl, my uncle’s son, and weighed out to him the silver, seventeen sheqels of silver.
and said, “What would you give me to deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.
but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, and came to be in the likeness of men.
