and shall see among the captives a woman fair of form, and shall delight in her and take her for your wife,

And his being clung to Dinah the daughter of Ya‛aqoḇ, and he loved the girl and spoke kindly to the girl.

But Ḥamor spoke with them, saying, “My son Sheḵem’s being longs for your daughter. Please give her to him for a wife.

that the sons of Elohim saw the daughters of men, that they were good. And they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.

Who does find a capable wife? For she is worth far more than rubies.

Loveliness is deceptive And prettiness is vain, A woman who fears יהוה is to be praised.

Do not desire her prettiness in your heart, Neither let her captivate you with her eyelids.

“But keep alive for yourselves all the female children who have not known a man by lying with a man.

When you go out to fight against your enemies, and יהוה your Elohim shall give them into your hand, and you shall take them captive,”

then you shall bring her home to your house, and she shall shave her head and trim her nails,
