And Aḵish gave him Tsiqlaḡ that day. That is why Tsiqlaḡ has belonged to the sovereigns of Yehuḏah to this day.

And it came to be after the death of Sha’ul, when Dawiḏ had returned from striking the Amalĕqites, that Dawiḏ remained two days in Tsiqlaḡ.

Now these are they who came to Dawiḏ at Tsiqlaḡ while he was still in hiding from Sha’ul son of Qish. And they were among the mighty men, helping the battle,

When he went to Tsiqlaḡ, those of Menashsheh who went over to him were Aḏnah, and Yozaḇaḏ, and Yeḏiya’ĕl, and Miḵa’ĕl, and Yozaḇaḏ, and Elihu, and Tsillethai, chiefs of the thousands who were from Menashsheh.

and in Tsiqlaḡ, and in Meḵonah and its villages,

and Tsiqlaḡ, and Maḏmannah, and Sansannah,

and Tsiqlaḡ, and Bĕyth Markaḇoth, and Ḥatsar Susah,

“For he took his life in his hands and struck the Philistine, and יהוה wrought a great deliverance for all Yisra’ĕl. You saw it and rejoiced. Why then do you sin against innocent blood, to put Dawiḏ to death without cause?”

And Dawiḏ said to Aḵish, “If I have now found favour in your eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, to dwell there. For why should your servant dwell in the royal city with you?”

But the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him, and the princes of the Philistines said to him, “Send the man back, let him return to the place which you have appointed for him, and do not let him go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become our adversary. For with what could he appease his master, if not with the heads of these men?

And it came to be, when Dawiḏ and his men came to Tsiqlaḡ, on the third day, that the Amalĕqites had invaded the South and Tsiqlaḡ, and struck Tsiqlaḡ and burned it with fire.

“We attacked the south of the Kerĕthites and against that which belongs to Yehuḏah, and upon the south of Kalĕḇ, and we burned Tsiqlaḡ with fire.”
