The sons of Merari: Maḥli and Mushi. The sons of Maḥli: El‛azar and Qish.

And the sons of Merari: Maḥli and Mushi. These are the clans of Lĕwi according to their generations.

And Dawiḏ divided them into divisions, of the sons of Lĕwi: of Gĕrshon, Qehath, and Merari.

Shim‛a his son, Ḥaggiyah his son, and Asayah his son.

Of Gĕreshom were Liḇni his son, Yaḥath his son, Zimmah his son,

The sons of Merari: Maḥli and Mushi. And these are the clans of the Lĕwites according to their fathers:

The sons of Uzzi’ĕl: Miḵah was the head and Yishshiyah the second.

And El‛azar died, and had no sons, but only daughters. And their brothers, the sons of Qish, took them.

From Merari came the clan of the Maḥlites and the clan of the Mushites. These were the clans of Merari.

El‛azar brought forth Pineḥas, Pineḥas brought forth Aḇishua;
