And Dawiḏ dwelt in the stronghold, so they called it the City of Dawiḏ.

But Dawiḏ captured the stronghold of Tsiyon, the City of Dawiḏ.

And the inhabitants of Yeḇus said to Dawiḏ, “You do not come in here.” But Dawiḏ captured the stronghold of Tsiyon, the City of Dawiḏ.

And Dawiḏ said, “Whoever strikes the Yeḇusites first becomes chief and commander.” And Yo’aḇ son of Tseruyah went up first, and became chief.

And he built the city around it, from Millo round about, and Yo’aḇ revived the rest of the city.

But I, I have set My Sovereign on Tsiyon, My set-apart mountain.
