For יהוה is our shield, And the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕ
After these events the word of יהוה came to Aḇ
He also lifts up the horn of His people, The praise of all His kind ones; Of the children of Yisra’ĕ
You Yourself are my Sovereign, O Elohim; Command deliverances for Yaʽ
Nobles of peoples shall be gathered together, The people of the Elohim of Aḇ
He alone is my rock and my deliverance, my strong tower; I am not shaken.
Also with the lyre I praise You For Your trustworthiness, O my Elohim! I sing to You with the lyre, O Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕ
For יהוה Elohim is a sun and a shield; יהוה gives favour and esteem; He withholds no good matter From those who walk blamelessly.
Alas, sinning nation, a people loaded with crookedness, a seed of evil-doers, sons acting corruptly! They have forsaken יהוה, they have provoked the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕ
“Cry aloud and shout, O inhabitant of Tsiyon, for great is the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕ
And the meek ones shall increase their joy in יהוה, and the poor among men rejoice in the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕ
“Turn aside from the way, swerve from the path, cause the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕ
for יהוה is our Judge, יהוה is our Lawgiver, יהוה is our Sovereign, He saves us –
Thus said יהוה, your Redeemer, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕ
“For I am יהוה your Elohim, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕ
