For exaltations are neither from the east, Nor from the west nor from the wilderness.

He runs against Him defiantly, with thick-bossed shields.

But You, O יהוה, are a shield for me, My esteem, and the One lifting up my head.

Who rules by His power forever; His eyes keeping watch on the gentiles; Let the rebellious not exalt themselves. Selah.

“I know his wrath,” declares יהוה, “and his boastings are untrue, and his deeds are false.
