Like sheep they shall be laid in the grave; Death shall shepherd them; And the upright rule over them in the morning; And their form is consumed in the grave, Far from their dwelling.

‘So let us know, let us pursue to know יהוה. His going forth is as certain as the morning. And He comes to us like the rain, like the latter rain watering the earth.’

But You have known me, O יהוה. You see me, and You have tried my heart toward You. Draw them away like sheep for slaughter, and separate them for the day of slaughter.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to Elohim who gave it.

He subdues peoples under us, And nations under our feet.

You do give us as sheep to be eaten, And You have scattered us among the gentiles.

The wrong return to the grave, All the gentiles that forget Elohim.

Together they lie down in the dust, and worms cover them.

They spend their days in goodness, and in a moment go down to the grave.

‘Are not the cords of their tents pulled up? They die, without wisdom!’
