I have become weak and greatly crushed; I howled from the groaning of my heart.

There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your rage, Nor peace in my bones because of my sin.

He who hides his transgressions does not prosper, But he who confesses and forsakes them finds compassion.

My skin became black upon me, and my bones burned with heat.

Show favour to me, O יהוה, for I am fading away; O יהוה, heal me, for my bones have been troubled.

My bones have been pierced in me at night, and my gnawings never lie down.

For my sighing comes before I eat, and my groanings pour out like water.

And they took their bones and buried them under the tamarisk tree at Yaḇ

A rejoicing heart causes good healing, But a stricken spirit dries the bones.
