How sweet to my taste has Your word been, More than honey to my mouth!

Therefore I have loved Your commands More than gold, even fine gold!

The Torah of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.

How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is preferable to silver.

There is gold and a multitude of rubies, But the lips of knowledge are a precious vessel.

Who does find a capable wife? For she is worth far more than rubies.

Wisdom is good with an inheritance, and an advantage to those who see the sun.

“For what is a man profited if he gains all the world, and loses his own life? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?

“Nor is it beyond the sea, to say, ‘Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it to us, and cause us to hear it, so that we do it?’
