He dies for lack of discipline, And in the greatness of his folly He goes astray.
But if they do not obey, they perish by the sword, and die without knowledge.

The backslider in heart is satisfied with his own ways, But a good man is satisfied from his.
By his own evildoing the wrong is thrust down, But the righteous has a refuge in his death.
A man who strays from the way of understanding, Rests in the assembly of the dead.
