Under a servant when he reigns, And a fool when he is satisfied with food,
Luxury is not fitting for a fool, Much less for a servant to rule over princes.
A poor man who oppresses the poor Is like a sweeping rain that leaves no food.
Under three matters the earth trembles, And under four, it is unable to bear:
Under a hated woman who marries, And a female servant who supplants her mistress.
