A passer-by meddling in a strife not his own Is like one who takes a dog by the ears.
An evil one seeks only rebellion, So a cruel messenger is sent against him.
A fool’s lips enter into strife, And his mouth calls for blows.
For a man to cease from strife is esteem, But every fool bursts out.
Like a madman who throws sparks, arrows, and death,
Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no evil.
But He said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or divider over you?”
