Proverbs 13:4

The being of the lazy one craves, but has not; While the being of the hard workers are enriched.

The hand of the hard worker rules, But the lazy is put to compulsory labour.

He who tills his land is satisfied with bread, But he who pursues vanities is lacking heart.

Poor is he who works with a lazy hand, But the hand of the hard worker makes rich.

The generous being is enriched, And he who waters is also watered himself.

He who is greedy stirs up strife, But he who trusts in יהוה  prospers.

And we desire that each one of you show the same eagerness, to the entire confirmation of expectation until the end,

“Do not labour for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to everlasting life, which the Son of Aḏ

“Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors.

“Then יהוה  would guide you continually, and satisfy your being in drought, and strengthen your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

The lazy one says, “There is a lion in the way! A fierce lion is in the streets!”

They still bear fruit in old age; They are fresh and green,

“Who shall count the dust of Yaʽ

Go to the ant, you lazy one! See her ways and be wise,

The lazy one has no game to roast, But the hard worker prizes his possessions.

He who watches over his mouth guards his being, But he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

A righteous one hates a lying word, But a wrong man is loathsome and comes to shame.

The lazy one does not plough after the autumn; At harvest time he inquires – there is none!

The plans of the hard worker lead only to plenty, But all rash haste only to poverty.

The desire of the lazy man slays him, For his hands refused to work.

And on the same day it came to be that the servants of Yitsḥ

And they returned to Yehoshua and said to him, “Let not all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai. Do not make all the people toil up there, for the people of Ai are few.”

I passed by the field of the lazy, And by the vineyard of the man lacking heart;

And see, it was all overgrown with thorns; Its surface was covered with nettles; And its stone wall was broken down.

I have taken off my robe, should I put it on? I have washed my feet, should I dirty them?
