He who speaks truth declares righteousness, But a false witness, deceit.

A fool’s wrath is known at once, But a clever one covers shame.

Rash speaking is like piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise is healing.

A true witness saves lives, But he who breathes out lies is a betrayer.

A trustworthy witness does not lie, But a false witness breathes out lies.

A false witness does not go unpunished, And he who breaths out lies does not escape.

A false witness perishes, But the man who obeys speaks forever.

Do not witness against your neighbour without cause, And do not deceive with your lips.

A false witness breathing out lies, And one who causes strife among brothers.

‘These are the words you should do: speak the truth to one another, judge with truth and right-ruling for peace in your gates.

“For out of the heart come forth wicked reasonings, murders, adulteries, whorings, thefts, false witnessings, slanders.

having a good conscience, so that when they speak against you as doers of evil, those who falsely accuse your good behaviour in Messiah, shall be ashamed.
