but your servants are passing over, every armed one of the army, before יהוה, to battle, as my master says.”

And the sons of Re’uḇ

and said, “יהוה commanded my master to give the land as an inheritance by lot to the children of Yisra’ĕ

but let us ourselves be armed, hastening before the children of Yisra’ĕ

And Aharon said to Mosheh, “Oh, my master! Please do not hold against us the sin in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned.

And Yehoshua son of Nun, Mosheh’s assistant from his youth, answered and said, “Mosheh my master, forbid them!”
