Shepherd Your people with Your rod, the flock of Your inheritance, who dwell alone in a forest, in the midst of Karmel. Let them feed in Bashan and Gilʽ

And He shall stand and shepherd in the strength of יהוה, in the excellency of the Name of יהוה  His Elohim. And they shall dwell, for at that time He shall be great, to the ends of the earth.

“They shall not hunger nor thirst, neither heat or sun strike them, for He who has compassion on them shall lead them, even by fountains of water guide them.

“In that day I shall raise up the booth of Dawiḏ

He feeds His flock like a shepherd, He gathers the lambs with His arm, and carries them in His bosom, gently leading those who are with young.

“By the hand of your servants you have reproached יהוה, and said, ‘With my many chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the limits of Leḇ

Know that יהוה, He is Elohim; He has made us, and we are His – His people and the sheep of His pasture.

For He is our Elohim, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you would hear His voice:

Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance; And be their Shepherd, and bear them up forever.

“They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

“Then shall the offering of Yehuḏ

Turn us back to You, O יהוה, And let us turn back, Renew our days as of old.

“And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the Valley of Aḵ

It blossoms much and rejoices, even with joy and singing. The esteem of Leḇ

I remembered the days of old; I meditated on all Your works; I ponder on the work of Your hands.

“For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I observe him. Look, a people dwelling alone, not reckoning itself among the nations.

“For how then shall it be known that I have found favour in Your eyes, I and Your people, except You go with us? Then we shall be distinguished, I and Your people, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”

In the days of her affliction and wandering, Yerushalayim remembered all her precious matters She had in the days of old. When her people fell into the hand of the enemy, With no one to help her, The adversaries saw her, They mocked at her Sabbaths.

‘And the entire tithe of the herd and of the flock, all that passes under the rod, the tenth one is set-apart to יהוה.

See, you are fair, my love! See, you are fair! Your eyes are as doves behind your veil. Your hair is like a flock of goats, Going down from Mount Gilʽ

“Arise, go up to the nation at ease that dwells safely,” declares יהוה. “It has no gates or bars, they dwell alone.

“And I shall increase upon you man and beast, and they shall increase and bear young. And I shall make you inhabited as of old, and do better for you than at your beginnings. And you shall know that I am יהוה.

And the children of Re’uḇ

the land which יהוה  had smitten before the congregation of Yisra’ĕ

And in that day it shall be that a great horn is blown, and those who were perishing in the land of Ashshur and the outcasts in the land of Mitsrayim shall come, and shall worship יהוה  on the set-apart mountain, in Yerushalayim.

And they shall possess the South with the mountains of Ě

“And I shall bring them back from the land of Mitsrayim, and gather them from Ashshur, and bring them into the land of Gilʽ

So I shepherded the flock meant for slaughter, the truly poor of the flock. And I took for myself two staffs, the one I called Pleasantness, and the other I called Unity, and I shepherded the flock.
