“And I shall pluck your Ashĕ
“But break down their altars, and smash their pillars, and cut down their Ashĕ
and set up for themselves pillars and Ashĕ
And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands; and he shall not see that which his own fingers made, nor the Ashĕ
Therefore by this the crookedness of Yaʽ
יהוה has swallowed up, without compassion, All the pastures of Yaʽ
And יהוה has commanded concerning you, “Your name shall no longer be sown. From the house of your mighty ones I shall cut off the carved image and the moulded image. I shall appoint your grave, for you have been of no account.”
To execute vengeance on the gentiles, Punishments on the peoples;
To execute on them the written right-ruling; A splendour it is for all His kind ones. Praise Yah!
“But if they do not obey, I shall pluck up, pluck up and destroy that nation,” declares יהוה.
