“And when praying, do not keep on babbling like the gentiles. For they think that they shall be heard for their many words.

For in much dreaming and many words there is futility. But fear Elohim.

“And if he refuses to hear them, say it to the assembly. And if he refuses even to hear the assembly, let him be to you like a gentile and a tax collector.

And going forward a little, He fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I desire, but as You desire.”

Again He went away, a second time, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is impossible for this to pass unless I drink it, let Your desire be done.”

And He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

“For all these the gentiles seek for. And your heavenly Father knows that you need all these.

But having recognised that he was a Yehuḏ
