And returning to the city early in the morning, He became hungry.

At that time יהושע went through the grain fields on the Sabbath. And His taught ones were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain, to eat.

And after having fasted forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.

being tried for forty days by the devil. And in those days He did not eat at all, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.

For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin.
