But Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you wish me to release for you the Sovereign of the Yehuḏ

“But you have a habit that I shall release someone to you at the Passover. Do you wish, then, that I release to you the Sovereign of the Yehuḏ

And the crowd, crying aloud, began to ask, as he had always done for them.

For he knew that the chief priests had handed Him over because of envy.
